Chicken Kofta Curry

This is a very tasty and flavourful Recipe!
Made of chicken meatballs in a very delicious and aromatic Indian curry...

Ingredients:

*For chicken Kofta*


  • 1 1/2 cup minced chicken (or boneless pieces)
  • 1/2 cup Onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 green chili
  • 1 tsp ginger & garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/3 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil (for frying)


*For curry*


  • 2 large oinion, Finely chopped
  • 3 large tomates, pureed
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (beaten)
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp ginger & garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1/2 tbsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp coreader leaves, finely chopped(and few for garnish)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp coriander powder (optional)
  • 1 boiled egg 


Instructions:


  • All all the ingredients for Kofta and mince or grind together.
  • Oil your palms, take a small portion of ground mixture  and make a ball the size of a lemon. Repeat this for remaining chicken mixture.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry this meatballs until golden on all sides. Transfer to a plate and keep it aside.
  • In the same pan add 2 tbsp oil and sauté onion until brown. 
  • Add pureed tomatoes and masalas. Cook for another minute or two.
  • Simmer and add yogurt, milk. 
  • Cook for a minute until boiling or if you want you can reduce/ thicken by cooking the curry for some more minutes.
  • Add coriander leaves, kofta, mix and cook for a minute and your chicken Kofta Curry is ready!
  • Serve with grated boiled egg on top.
