Cheese samosas in wheat flour

This cheesy goodness is loved by all especially children!

Ingredients:

*DOUGH*

  • 1 1/2 cups Wheat flour (+2tsp to make paste for sticking edges)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil(+1 tsp for brushing over the dough so that it doesn't dry)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup water (+2 tbsp to make paste for sticking edges)

*FILLING*

  • 1 cup feta cheese(crumbled or shredded)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese(shredded)
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 2tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp each of chopped green, red & yellow capsicums

*OTHER INGREDIENTS*

  • Refined oil for deep frying

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl combine wheat flour, salt, oil and mix well. Add water gradually so that you don't make dough watery. Knead to smooth and soft dough (takes 5-8 minutes). Coat with oil and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in another mixing bowl mix together all the ingredients in filling and keep it aside.
  • In a small bowl mix little water and flour to make paste for sticking samosas.
  • Divide dough to small sized balls and roll each balls to thin disks.
  • Spoon cheese mixture on it, brush water mixture on edge and fold as shown in video.
  • Make sure the dough is thin and edges are sealed properly.
  • Repeat the same for remaining dough and filling.
  • Heat oil for frying.
  • When oil is hot, gently add samosas 1 or 2 at time until golden on both sides.
  • Turn gently to avoid breaking samosas.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or hot sauce.
