Paneer Pepper Curry

Hello!

Here is a superb recipe for rainy weather j! You could make this curry with paneer, chicken or mushrooms. It is peppery, fiery and yummy!!



Paneer pepper curry is one of my favorite recipe. I love it with chappati and Rice. If you like your curry spicy you will definitely love this recipe. So, let's get to know how it's made...

Ingredients

  • 200g paneer, cubed(bite size)( you can substitute paneer with chicken for non veg version of this curry)
  • 1 green chili, slit
  • 1 tbsp onion, cubed
  • 1 cup Tomato, cubed
  • 1/2 cup capsicum, cubed
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tbsp cashew nut paste (5-8 cashew nuts ground with little water)
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon (1 tbsp)
  • 1/2 cup water ( you don't have to add water if your making this curry with chicken)
  • 2-3 tbsp butter (or use oil)

Method

  • Melt butter in a hot pan and fry paneer to golden brown.
  • Transfer it to plate.
  • Into the same pan and oil, add Ginger garlic paste and sauté until raw smell goes.
  • Then add green chili, onion, capsicum and give it a mix.
  • Add chili, Turmeric, garam masala and pepper powders, salt and mix.
  • Add tomatoes, stir and add water(do not make tomatoes mushy).
  • Add yogurt, mix and bring it to boil for a minute.
  • Then add cashew paste, paneer and mix.
  • Switch off flame, add lemon juice, mix.
  • Your paneer pepper curry is ready!
